In a heartwarming display of solidarity, people of all ages joined the Christodoula March 2024 to send a clear message: cancer patients are not alone.

This year marked the 49th edition of the march, with participation across all cities in Cyprus, showcasing widespread support for the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society.

The event kicked off in Limassol at the Molos on April 7th and continued in other cities on April 14th, with the starting points including the Arodaphnousa Palliative Care Center in Nicosia, the Finikoudes podium in Larnaca, the Deryneia Town Hall in Ammochostos, and the Paphos Town Hall. The Christodoula March is the largest awareness campaign in Cyprus focusing on cancer issues.

During the opening ceremony in Nicosia, Dr. Adamos Adamou, President of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society, expressed profound gratitude towards the Cypriot community for its unwavering support.

He highlighted the evolving and expanding services provided by the society, which aim to offer comprehensive care to cancer patients and their families, enhancing their quality of life.

"With all of you as our allies, we manage to provide more and more patients access to quality palliative care services, whenever and wherever needed," Dr. Adamou emphasized.

For 26 years, the Bank of Cyprus has been a staunch ally of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society, consistently supporting its efforts. Panikos Nikolaou, CEO of the Bank of Cyprus, assured that the bank's commitment to social contribution remains steadfast:

"We have been, are, and will continue to be here, standing by the Anti-Cancer Society and every one of our fellow citizens affected by cancer."
