The holistic healing treatment of aromatherapy is beneficial to every patient, as it is an expression of affection and care, while it also relieves pain and stress.

Aromatherapy uses essential oils that are tonic, relaxing, invigorating, sedative, decongestant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, emmenagogue and analgesic.
They relieve patients’ muscle and rheumatic pains, headaches, migraines, hormonal imbalances, flu symptoms, shortness of breath and cough.
The Society’s team of aromatherapists consists of professionals with special training tailored to cancer patients’ needs and offer their services at the “Arodaphnousa” Palliative Care Centre.
Properties of essential oils

Invigorating: ylang-ylang, sage, rose and neroli oil
Energizing: rosemary and patchouli

How can I access aromatherapy services?
Patients are referred to the Aromatherapy Service by their treating physicians.
