The 17th Charity Tuna Fishing Tournament was held with great success on Sunday, 19 July, reaffirming its place as a well-established annual event that brings together a passion for the sea with a commitment to giving back to the community.

This year's tournament brought together 26 fishing crews from across Cyprus, who collectively caught more than 25 tonnes of tuna. A significant portion of the catch was auctioned, with all proceeds donated to the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society.

Thanks to the generous support of the participants, sponsors and the public, the auction of the catch, boat entry fees and raffle ticket sales raised more than €4,000, all of which will be dedicated to supporting the valuable work of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society.

The organisers extend their heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, volunteers, the 26 participating crews, and everyone who supported the event through their presence and generosity. Their contribution was instrumental in the success of the tournament and in strengthening the mission of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society.
